Last date for Chicago workshops.. October 2 -3
* My personal workshops are the only workshops where I will talk business...in depth... nothing is held back. Some things I will touch on..
- proven marketing techniques and why they work. I will discuss my successes, and my failures and why.
- creating a buzz for you and your business.
- how to keep your clients coming back.
- This year, I will have some of my clients come in and discuss what I do well AND what I can do better. (...yes.. this will be painful! haha!) I think others can learn from my mistakes.
- We will shoot both indoors and out (weather permitting..) in natural light 100%.
- In addition to shooting yourself, you will watch me shoot, and you will not only see the images I capture right on my LCD, but you will see me upload them that very same day. I will show any editing from beginning to end. No questions are off limits.
- because everyone's situation is different, I will give a 15 min one on one with each participant where they can talk about anything they would like.
- a personal critique of your work.
...and much, much more.
Class are limited to 18ppl. Spaces are reserved when your retainer is paid. The cost of the workshop is $800 and it will take place in my studio. Continental breakfast, and full catered lunch is provided on both days.

Friday Photog stars of the week!

Im back!!!

July 19, 2010

|
Im back in the States after spending a few weeks over in the UK. My husband and I decided to stay across the pond for a bit after I finished teaching the workshop. To say that we adored London is an understatement. We have already made plans to visit again later this year.
The workshop was a BLAST. The ladies inspired me so much. We did some shooting on the first day, and had some great business/marketing talk later that afternoon, and the next day. These ladies are talented, and serious about making their mark in the industry, so watch out! It was great shooting there in full sun. (...yes.. the sun was totally different, and I had to change the way I approached a full sun situation!)
We had some of the most adorable little models!

I am going to start showcasing some of the photographers that I am so lucky to meet...2-3 with each blog post. There is SO much talent out there. Here are two ladies that came to my London workshop.
Maz - http://www.lightanddayphoto.com/ She is a photographer from Wales. She is such a sweet, sweet person. It shows in her work.
Olesya - www.uglova.com She is a photographer in Moscow. She doesn't speak much English, but her work needs no words...it speaks volumes all by itself. She is so sweet, and she sat there and soaked everything in. She wants me to come to Moscow for a workshop..so we will see!! Her website is in Russian. Be sure to check out her Underwater Gallery. BREATHTAKING!
While you're at it... check out a great resource for photographers...www.moms-with-cameras.com
Anyways.. check them out! I will post more sites with each post. When I came back, I jumped right back into photo sessions, so I haven't really had a chance to tackle the blog...but I have so much to share!
I still have 4 spots left in the September workshop in Chicago. So if you're interested, just drop me an email. I am also thinking of doing a Business Bootcamp workshop this year. There are so many photography techniques workshops out there and those that know me KNOW I enjoy talking business....and I see so many struggle with that part. As a full time photographer... I am really thinking of doing just a workshop dedicated to helping those who are starting their business...and to those who are at a standstill. I always say... you can have the best pictures out there in the world, but if potential clients don't know who you are.. then what is the point of being in business?
Until Next Time...

WPPI....more info!

February 19, 2010

|
For my photographers....I am SO super excited about WPPI...are you all!??? My Platform speech this year will be about location photography and light. I have received a LOT of questions from people about things they wanted me to touch on, and I will definitely do that. If anyone has any other natural light, or location photography concerns, please post them here, and I will touch on them at my speech.
Im speaking on Sunday... March 7th from 2:30 - 4:30pm. in rooms 319 - 320. Now although I am not speaking on business, I will be giving out some GREAT door prizes from some vendors that I work with business wise. So I will be giving out a CUSTOM BLOG from the fabulous ITDR (Intothedarkroom..) they designed my website...as well as some Slideshare Max software which is what I use for my online galleries. I will also be giving away some albums, and other goodies...so be sure to stop by!!
I hope to see you all there!!!!!!!
Some more pictures.... How cute is this little 2yo? I actually captured this at my workshop in October. It was one of those "hidden gems". It was at the end, and the 2yo's were all burnt out, and surprisingly, I caught this one while other photog's were photographing her at the same time. |

| This is a family I just met in December. They were actually my last session for the Holiday season. They were referred to me by a dear, dear, dear, dear (did I say dear?) client of mine!! I love this family, and look forward to many more sessions with them! |
