The June, 2012 workshop is sold out. (there are a few spots left in the May, 2012 workshop) I've added one last Chicago workshop...
There are also a few spots left in my Australia workshop in Melbourne in November, 2012. This workshop is selling out *very* fast!

While in Australia, I will be commissioning photo sessions (digital packages available) in either Sydney, or Perth. I should know the answer to this in the next few weeks!

1 - day Natural Light Only Workshops. (Illinois residents welcome!!)
September 15, 2012 - 9am -6pm (5 spots left!!)
A summary of what we will cover….
Full catered lunch provided.
Full color workbook covering what you learned provided.
We will cover….
- mastering indoor and outdoor natural light.
-shooting with wide apertures with single subjects, and groups.
- shooting in full sun (weather permitting)
- white balance
- capturing emotion in your images.
- capturing NATURAL poses with families and siblings
- working in low light situations, and how to master them without aid of flash
-editing/post processing. I will go over my editing from start to finish with the images captured at the workshop.
Price of the workshop is $550/pp. Classes are limited to 15ppl
Melbourne Australia workshop 24 -25 November, 2012- $1250USD per person (payment plan available!) (3 spots available)
For this workshop, I am going to do something a bit different. Normally, I would either secure a studio, or some other natural light loft of some sort. However, most location photographers either work outdoors, or they must go into someone's home. So guess what we are going to do?
We are going to secure a rent a home for this workshop! This way, we can work in real life surroundings. We will work with low light, bright light, outdoors, you name it. Because the home will be fully decorated, we will be working with regular furniture. I have never been a "prop" type person, and I prefer to work with what is presented before me...so that I can make it work. We of course will head outdoors as well. I have secured some GORGEOUS models for us!!
- We will work on creativity big time.
- ways to get your foot in the door and make a name for yourself in an over saturated market.
- proven marketing techniques and why they work regardless of the country the photographer lives in. I will discuss my successes, and my failures and why.
- creating a buzz for you and your business.
- how to keep your clients coming back.
- We will shoot both indoors and out (weather permitting..) in natural light 100%.
- In addition to shooting yourself, you will watch me shoot, and you will not only see the images I capture right on my LCD, but I will upload the images that I capture that day and show them right out of the camera. I will show any editing from beginning to end. No questions are off limits.
- because everyone's situation is different, I will give a 15 min one on one with each participant where they can talk about anything they would like.
- a personal critique of your work.

There is no prerequisite years in business or skill level. However, if you feel you are in a pretty good place with your work, and your business, then this workshop will not be a good fit.
Sydney Australia 1-2, December 2012 - $1250USD per person (payment plan available (10 spots available)
This will be a two full day workshop. We will discuss and work with natural lighting, and everything that comes with it. We will also discuss business as I have mentioned at my last Australian workshop that there is an untouched market there that is waiting to be grabbed. This will also probably be my last Australian workshop for a few years...if not forever. :(
We will be having the workshop at my fellow photographer Kate Buechner of Uber Photography studio. I met Kate when I was visiting Sydney last year in 2011. So I am SUPER excited to see her again!!

This workshop is limited to 10-12 participants. The cost is $1250/USD, and payment plans will be accepted. There will also be a 15% discount on all secured registration retainers received on or before 30, June 2012.

Class are limited to 15ppl. Spaces are reserved when your retainer is paid. The cost of the workshop is $800 and it will take place in my studio. A retainer of $400 is required to hold your spot. The remainder is due 45 days prior to your scheduled workshop. Continental breakfast, and full catered lunch is provided on both days. Plenty of food, snacks, drinks. You will never be hungry. In fact.. I encourage you to take some food back with you! haha! If you're a nursing mom, or even if you have a small baby that you do not want to leave behind...please contact me. We have made arrangements for other mom's in the past. Im a mom.. so I get it. :-)

Hello, and thanks for your interest!!!
Workshops for 2012 will be announced soon. For 2012, we will have just two in Chicago at my newest studio in May and June.
We will also travel for workshops in 2012. So far, locations will be
-London, UK
- Toronto, Canada
and perhaps two cities in the US.
Dates will be announced in the next few weeks...
