The last time I photographed "C", she was 6 months old...or maybe 7 months? Her mom is super busy with her business, but I was so happy to hear from them again when she was ready to update her pictures. We tried to work it out last year, but unfortunately mom called during the infamous Holiday rush (Sept - Nov..) so dates were just about non-existant...but who cares... I was so happy to see "C" and her family.
This time, Mom gave us free reign of the house to have fun(3 floors.. so I got my workout for the day!), while she entertained her guests... I couldn' t have asked for anything better!
Now only in Chicago will we have a Spring day and Winter Day mix. Our weather is crazy. We had 60 degree's earlier this week...and we are expecting snow on Saturday.

As you can see... we had fun.
On a side note... My BRAND SPANKING NEW CUSTOM PORTRAIT WEBSITE (yes.. Im screaming!) is almost ready....and its FABULOUS!!!!!!! Its totally different from what's out there now...and I LURVE it!!!!!!!!!

Recently... I had this adorable 7yo at the loft. She had me cracking up the entire time. The funniest thing about her was..although she knew she was a stand up comedian, she did it all with a straight face.
I fully expect to see her with her own late night talk show in 30yrs. |
This was a cutie I photographed recently. She was cutting teeth, and nothing was off limits for gum relief!

You know the last time I photographed "M" she was a year old. Like all 1yo's... she was just learning her independence...but...she wasn't that fast.
Well fast forward a year later, and little "M" is now 2yrs. I saw her about 2 weeks ago, and when she first walked in.. FULL head full of curls now...she burst out into tears. I could see that her mom was a tad bit worried that it might not go well, so I put my camera away and got to know the NEW little "M". You know a lot happens over a year, and she definitely had a lot to show me.
After a while.. I learned how smart she is.. how she loves to count, run (fast!!), and just be a little jokester. Thankgoodness her parents worked with me before (..so they trusted me 100% when I said I captured enough...and she was good..), because I think they would have walked out thinking the session was a disaster!
well...it wasn't....and these images are just a smallsample of some of my favorites from the session.... |
| ok...this shot cracked me up. "M" was getting her hair combed when I took this shot. Mom was attempting to put piggytails in M's" hair, and lil' "M" was NOT feeling the the piggytail process at ALL. So eventhough this was a slight intermission...I had to get the shot! |

(p.s. for "M's" mom...I know you are probably wondering why I didn't post any of the images with "M" playing at the chalkboard. I HAVE to save some things for viewing...and those were some of them! Just as you liked it...dusty chalk covered blue sweater and all...you will love them.) <<
