| When most of the session tends to go like this.... |
| I instantly know the session will be perfect! |
ok...
So I will admit, when a parent calls me and tells me their child is "busy".. I think to myself.. " I can handle that.. afterall.. I did it 3 times in a row!".
Well, I met 2yo "E" recently...
He is the fastest 2yo I photographed......
ever (..I am including my own kiddo's in this btw..)
He was ALL BOY..and this is how most of the session went... He running, and someone chasing him... |
It was just me and his mom, and we had to make moves...and make it happen! I was in water, mud, sun, 80 degree's, a place full of strollers (no joke...)....
Every single photography aversion you could think of, but I left feeling so good! He was so polite, and reminded me of how my little guys used to be. I have to give a shout out to his mom. She was referred by someone who I believe did not work with me directly, but said she should really book. "E's" mom trusted me 100%. I loved her!
I look forward to watching this family grow! |
You know what was a bonus for me? I rarely venture into crowded, public places for sessions anymore. When I was shooting, there were tons of moms who had digital SLR's photographing their kids. They ALL looked at me with the "what the heck is she doing" look....she is NOT in the right "spot" look!

I was so honored when the mom of this gorgeous newborn boy contacted me at the last minute because she really wanted me to photograph him. Baby "G" came to arrived to his forever family rather quickly. So I cleared my schedule to meet him, and his super smart 5yo big sister....who made a point to feed me (regardless of my diet restrictions for an upcoming trip to Miami..) the most delicious pizza this side of Chicago. Although I tried to resist.. she was right... it was delicious.
(..getting back on topic!)

This one has to be my favorite...
Big sister was at school for the majority of the session. When she came home, she rushed upstairs to show her mom what she made at school for her new baby brother.

Recently, I had a chance to photograph "R". The last time we had a session was 2yrs ago....seems so long ago!
Her mom is so funny. We get along great. People always ask me about kids clothes.... eventhough I usually rearrange the outfits when I arrive, the mom's can really get into it. This is what I was presented with! (Told you Lisa..I was going to blog this...)

| There were countless (I mean countless..) number of pictures that I loved of "R"...but I just a picked a few. |
"R"... I know the minute (..and I mean the minute..) I hit the shutter for the last time, you took off to the park with your buddy "A"...and you forgot to say goodbye. Mom told me.... its ok, I know I wore you out. So we can just say "goodbye" here, and I will see you next year. (or when you lose those top two teeth!)
