Modern Newborn...

I think this might be my last blog post before I head over to Australia. I am going to try to do one more tomorrow.. but I am not going to cross my fingers! However... who knows! I will try my hardest to get one more blog post up. I think I did pretty good today with blog catch up's right!? haha! I had a big project on my plate that really sucked up a lot of my free time. That will be announced when I returned! (super excited!)
Some quick notes for my clients...
I will be headed over to Sydney Australia for a while to teach two photography workshops to Professional Photographers. (I am going to post some updates of my Aussie workshops while I am in Oz on my Facebook page.. so be sure to click one of the FB banners and join the page!)
I will not be back in the office until 5/22/11. My next available weekend date is July 3rd. If you have a child (older...because babies just do not fair well in the afternoon!) that you can book around 12-1pm, I can squeeze you in prior to July 3rd on the weekend. If you are able to book a week date, we can get you in prior to that.
All phone calls will be returned on 5/23. I will be accessible via email during my stay in Sydney. So if you are looking to book an appointment, use the contact form on my email to discuss the details. Please allow a little over 24 hrs for a response due to the fact that Australia is about 15 hrs (....ok.. well almost a DAY!) ahead of Chicago!
I have quite a few photog's who are waiting on emails from me. Rest assured that emails are on my agenda for Wednesday!
For my June workshop participants.... I will be sending an email out to you all tomorrow. If you have not checked in with me this past week with your email address... please do so! I had an email crash last week, and I lost my contact lists.
For those who have emailed me regarding workshops.. we have to recreate the forms. Those will be sent out on Wednesday. There is still space in the September and October workshop. On the blog, click categories.. and choose "workshops" for more information.
Ok... enough of all that!!!
Here is a sweet newborn baby boy. His parents are very, very, long time clients of mine. In the fall, we will be getting pictures of him and his big sister. In the meantime, Mom and Dad decided to give little Baby "H" his own photo session to welcome him to the world... |

A photographer friend of mine, told me about her foundation recently regarding families who have children with cancer. A few of my photographer friends know that I have an extremely close family member dealing with cancer now, so this is very dear to me. The name of the foundation is Tiny Sparrow http://tinysparrowfoundation.org/
I tried a zillion times to post about the Pepsi Grant they applied for, and how they need votes in order to get it, but alas..Facebook deletes them. ( and let me tell you...they delete those posts QUICK! I added it to my original FB post, and they just deleted that paragraph! LOL!!
This is what I wrote on Facebook....
They have applied for a Pepsi grant and it will all be based on how many votes we get. They have worked hard to apply for the grant and I would really appreciate if you guys could vote so they can win the grant and be able to help a lot more families. Here is the link where people can vote

Last year they photographed 25 families out of which 10 of those children passed away. They are really wanting to be able to help a whole lot more families this year.

I don't photograph many photographer's families... but I couldn't pass up Miss Denisha Sproul family! Denisha came to my workshop a few years ago, and I was VERY humbled when she contacted me recently about booking a photo session for her family.
